Soon after the untimely death of  Shri Puran    Chandra Gupta, founder of Jagran Prakashan in 1986, Shri Puran Chandra   Gupta  Smarak Trust   was founded in 1987. Immediately, the   group came up with an idea of opening a school in Kanpur(South).

The idea  started taking  physical  shape  and on  26th  of March 1991,  the  dream was  complete,  for  the  world to see. On this  day  the school     building was inaugurated by Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Ex Prime Minister of India.

17 years hence, it still stands tall and high in  the field of education, imparting not only the   knowledge about different subjects, but also    preparing good sportsmen, good    musicians, good artists and above all preparing good  future citizens of the country.
